Diary of an Immigrant is a 16mm film I made while in film school in 1981. It was premiered at the Ann Arbor Film Festival. The film juxtaposes images of contemporary Wisconsin with imaginary diary entries of my Italian grandfather as he traveled to the new world 100 years ago. Think The Emigrants meet Stroszek.
